Public Involvement

A public involvement plan (PIP) meeting took place at the Beverly Middle School Library on September 30, 2026, to present site treatment updates and activities documented in the August 2026 Phase IV Status Report. The meeting recording and presentation slides are available in the Public Meetings section below.
Current activities include monthly email updates (sign up for the Site Mailing List here), ongoing regular meetings with community representatives (Technical Advisory Group or TAG), public meetings, and annual environmental cleanup updates. Varian is committed to keeping the local community informed about cleanup progress at the site.
Technical Advisory Group (TAG)
The TAG consists of specific stakeholders from the local community, including the Mayor of Beverly, state elected officials, and representatives of the community group Voices of Concern (VOC) North Beverly. Public Meetings
Public meetings will be held periodically and as required by the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP) process. Copies of presentations, posters, and/or other meeting materials can be found under each meeting date.
